Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg, my favorite city!  We spent only a short 24 hours in this city, but for sure I want to come back here one day and just visit this city.  It was so intriguing to me, with the history, the beauty, the culture, and much much more!  We had such a lovely time here and I can't wait to go back someday!

I just loved all the little things that made this city LOVELY.

Dad and Tyson carting the girls over LOTS of stairs!  What good sports...all of them!
We parked in the Old City and then walked through tiny, quaint streets to the entrance of the Castle and it was so fun to imagine that these were the same streets that my Granddad came and tracted through back in 1937.  He possibly knocked on these very doors!
This cathedral in the Centrum of the Old City of Salzburg was very pretty.  I have seen many cathedrals and this one was up there.  It was beautifully and colorfully decorated, many cathedrals are dark and bleak, but this one was really striking to me.
Definately, we splurged on the food!  Alissa is holding her very own chocolate covered pretzel donut!  Thanks Grandpa...I ate it all to the very last bite by myself...YUM!
Just another shot of the architecture and main sqaure in Salzburg.  They were taking down the Christmas Market decorations still...oh how I would have loved to have gone to that Christmas Market!
Tyson and I took a walk from our hotel after the girls went to bed one evening (the perks of having Nana and Grandpa there to babysit!)  It was beautiful and romantic!
I really did not know that this castle existed here in Salzburg.  But you can see it from every where in the city!
This is the statue and fountains of the Horse...it is famous (for some reason)...but I thought it was cool that in the olden days, they would ride their horses through this fountain to clean the horses hoofs off as to keep the city clean.
Little streets and long walks!

We stopped at the corner of this street just as the bells in the tower in the background started to play the prettiest songs on the Bells.  I felt like I was back in time.  What beautiful sounds bells can make!
