Today was Alissa's First Day of Preschool! Alissa woke up, sat at the kitchen table with her Daddy (who had taken extra care to work from home this morning and come drop her off on her first day), and patiently waited until I called her into the bathroom to do her hair. She asked for her hair to be curly today, which I was happy about! Isn't she beautiful!? I can't believe this precious child of mine has started preschool!
As a whole, our family has been talking about this day for MONTHS, literally! Here are my three beautiful babies eager to take Alissa to her school.
Proud parents of this cutie!
Alissa was so brave as she entered the school and her classroom. She all of a sudden, before my eyes, grew up to a much older and responsible Alissa than I had seen before. She walked into her classroom, hung up her backpack on a hook, and walked to her teacher, Miss J J for further instructions. Then she turned around to look back and ran back to us, gave Hannah a big hug first, then Daddy, and then me and Lydia. My heart just about leaped out of my body to stay with this girl. I want to be a fly on the wall to watch her learn, see the excitement in her eyes as she learns about something new, see her proud smile when she shows her teacher how she can already write her first and last name PERFECTLY, see how she interacts with new kids and makes friends. Oh, how I hope I have prepared her to be a kind, compassionate person who can love others and be a good example. I know she can! I love this girl so much, its amazing how much I can't even begin to express it. Have fun at preschool this year! I do miss you Lu Lu when you are gone. It is quite quiet without you!
She picked out this pink and purple butterfly backpack herself. I love how HUGE it looks on her!

She is so beautiful...best of both her mom and dad! Preschool is such a milestone! Will she go to kindergarten next year?
What a huge step!! Ahhh, you captured the sentiments so perfectly. And MAN, all those girls are so stunning!! Does Tyson have serious anxiety about having so many daughters??
That backpack should be able to take some growing into for sure!
She looks so cute and excited, what a special day!! And I STILL wish I could be a fly on the wall. Now I have two elementary kids, it's crazy...
Wow! I saw that picture of you and Tyson w/ Alissa and got taken back 10 years to our first night at BYU! Tyson came with us to the DT creamery for ice cream and we just kept repeating "Can you believe we're in college?" Such fun memories- now I cannot believe you have a gorgeous preschooler, or that it has been 10 years since we met!
We just got your Christmas card. Beautiful! What a great family you have. We sure wish we knew your little girls. I know several Texas folks to pass through Colorado Springs on their way to Utah...if you ever want that to be your route, we would love to have you stay!
Merry Christmas!
