Birthday FHE for our prophet

FHE is always the highlight of our week as a family.  It is THE night that we just get to spend time together and learn together and feel the spirit!  My girls live for it and I am so grateful for this extra opportunity to teach my children the Gospel in our home.  This week was a extra fun one...we celebrated President Monson's 85th Birthday.  I told the girls that the only thing that President Monson asks for his birthday is "Go do something for someone else...that's all I would ask."  So we incorporated this FHE to learning about our prophet's life, then we decorated President Monson's favorite cake and then delivered cupcakes to a family who had just had a new baby born.

President Monson's birthday cake growing up that his Mom made for him was a tri layered cake, green on bottom, then pink in the middle and the top layer was yellow.  Then it was all covered in a chocolate frosting!  I turned these into President Monson Birthday cupcakes and they turned out AWESOME!  Hannah was my super helper!!

Alissa loved singing happy birthday to our Prophet and then blowing out the candle!
Hannah couldn't wait to dig into this yummy cupcake!
