Activities in Frankfurt

Alissa and Hannah both were mesmerized by the "trains" aka public transportation here in Germany.  We often watched for trains everytime we were in the car and Alissa always wanted to ride them!  So one day, we rode public transportation down to the Old city of Frankfurt and did some shopping and sight seeing!  The girls LOVED riding the train and even got to ride longer than anticipated when Tyson and I took the wrong train back to my parents house and we had to back track on other trains to get home!

This is the square where the Christmas Market was just a few weeks earlier...it looked so huge with all the booths gone!
Feeding the birds and ducks...of course Alissa wanted some pink ice cream when it was FREEZING outside.  Kids and ice cream...always a hit no matter how cold it is!
Hannah is getting closer and closer to walking!  She is content to be held by Mommy at all times, so she doesn't get much practice on this trip, especially because we are always on the go.  But she did take her first steps on her own here, which will be a fun memory to remind her of as she grows up!
 My cheesy girl!
What do Texans do when we are looking for something to do?  Yup, go swimming!  This swimming pool in Frankfurt was AMAZING and was the coolest indoor swimming pool I have ever seen in my life.  It was HUGE for one thing, and for another, it had a lazy river that went around this entire building and even took you outside in the freezing temperatures.  It had a wave pool, warm and warmer pools, and waterslides and diving boards and saunas!  The girls had a blast being here and I wish that we had a place like this in the USA!
