This last week of 2009 will be a memorable one, especially for Tyson. After a fun anniversary celebration at Texas Roadhouse, (we highly recommend this resturaunt,) and some delicious desserts, Tyson was not allowed to eat. The next morning, he reported to the local hospital to have nose surgery. He had a deviated septum that was preventing him from breathing effectively. Tyson has been extremely tough and brave, but for anyone that has had this done, they would better understand the pain and annoyance of this recovery.
Before....
I have felt more like a nurse the past few days, with round the clock pain medication to give Tyson, and also just having to do everything for everyone. It has been interesting juggling Hannah, Alissa, and Tyson, but we have made it through! Tyson has splints in his nose that will be removed next friday, but until then, he can't lift anything and also cannot breath through his nose or blow his nose. He is going crazy not being able to use his nose, but knows in the end it will be worth it.
After...
He spends his time holding Hannah...making up for lost time during finals week when he hardly held her! Get better soon Daddy, Alissa is ready to have her tickle buddy back!

I imagine that you have a lot of sympathy seeing how you broke your nose back in high school...I remember you saying how painful that was! Get better soon Tys!
I had no idea! Then, when I mentioned it to Dan he said something to the effect of "oh, I think I remember him saying something..."! Gee thanks, honey!
Anyway, PLEASE let us know if we can do anything! I would love to help you juggle those kiddies!
haha, our poor husbands. what a december to remember!
(texas roadhouse is our fav. it's the ONLY place where we ever eat out.)
Oh man, Kristina! What a bummer! I can't believe what a month this has been. I hope you're doing fine and look forward to seeing you on Wednesday. I hope Tyson is feeling better.
Yeah I've had nose surgery and it is definitely not fun! I hope Tyson is recovering okay. If he's going to have a home nurse though, you're probably a pretty good one!
I've heard this is one of the worst surgeries you can have done- for the annoyance and slow recovery factor. I'm so sorry! I hope you're doing much better by now!
