Just in the past week or two, Alissa has not only been babbling more, but also repeating words back to us. It is fun to see her watch our mouth and then hear her try to pronounce things the same way that we do. Just yesterday, we had the Sisters and Elders both over for dinner and after we said the blessing on the food, she said "men" right on que! That is just an example of her growing vocabulary! Another one of our favorites happens when we raise our arms in the air for a touchdown. She raises both arms high above her head and says "down." In total, here are the words as of today that she uses on a daily basis.
Mom - "bop"
Dad - "dat"
Dog - "dog"
Cat - "tat"
Juice - "chooce"
Cheese - "cheece"
Uh Oh - "uh-oh"
Bubble - "bubpull"
Duck - "duck"
Truck - "truck"
Bird - "dird"
Gramma/Nana - "duh da"
She has started to run, which makes her more capable of getting away from me faster than I realize, especially in stores! Thanks to my Mom for the fun new shopping cart cover, she is more entertained in the cart and will last a good 20 minutes in the grocery store without screaming to get out!She can mimic a lot of animal sounds like a snake, monkey, duck, dog, cat, cow, fish, and a lion/tiger (she growls!) She also can point to many of her body parts. She can find her bellybutton, toes, nose, mouth, eye, ear, and hair. She also loves to sit in the sink on my counter while I do my hair/make-up and laugh at herself in the mirror. She mimics how and where I put on my make- up! I haven't gotten a picture or video of that yet, but it will be great blackmail one day!!!
I can't believe how fast she is growing up and learning so many new things around her. She is a little sponge and I am loving every minute that I have to play with her. She definitely keeps me on my toes, entertained, and so happy about life!
