We had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend spent with the Smith Family. Tyson, Alissa, and I drove to Dallas and caught a flight to Albuquerque New Mexico to meet family there! We had a delicious Thanksgiving dinner with Tyson's Aunt Terri and spent the weekend hanging out, relaxing, and visiting sights around the city. Tyson's Dad, Dave, has a special interest in Native American things and so we drove to different places and learned more about their culture.
We toured a place called Acuma and Sky City. It was a city on top of this 350 foot high plateau. People used to have to climb steep stairs to get up there, but now with modern technology, you can drive up a steep road. We tried some tasty fry bread from an Indian Vendor and enjoyed seeing their handmade pottery. If only we could afford the beautiful pieces of art! We also got to visit a museum and saw some Indian dancing that was incredible! His outfit is amazing!
It was such a fun weekend and we enjoyed being with family, especially Alissa! She got to know her Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunts and Uncle a little better and also got to know some of her Smith cousins and great Aunts and Uncles better too! She was the center of attention and absolutely LOVED it and would show off and tease and giggle! A whole new personality came out of her this weekend and Tyson and I realized that she is growing up so fast and isn't quite "our little baby" anymore. There were also a lot of dogs there this weekend and Alissa LOVED them and wasn't afraid of them at all!
We are Thankful that we had such a fun and safe weekend and look forward to Christmas holiday! Thanks Smith's for a wonderful weekend! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday!

Kristina - so sorry to hear about your grandpa. I thought of you as soon as I heard the news. He will be greatly missed. What a good man.
Hi Kristina and Tyson,
Just wanted to let you know we are thinking of you and your Wirthlin family tonight. We're sorry to hear of your grandpa's passing, but grateful he is with your grandma again. What a wonderful man of God! We feel privileged to have "known" him as an apostle and learned so much from his words of wisdom. Our prayers will continue to be with you all.
Kristina,
Sorry to hear about your grandpa. But what a legacy he left behind. His words are truely inspiring, and we all learned so much from him. You and your family will be in my prayers.
