Alissa likes to stand

So we feel like our little girl has reached big milestones in just a few weeks. We haven't even really been coaxing her to do these things, but she does them anyway. She is a determined little monkey! The other day, I heard Alissa talking to herself after she awoke from her nap. I went in to get her and found her standing, holding onto the crib rails and sucking on the rail and just smiling at me. I couldn't believe it! She just barely started crawling, let alone pulling herself to a standing position!



And now she also likes to balance on her feet and she does pretty good at it. She definitely likes to stand rather than crawl, so whenever I play with her on the floor, she crawls over to me, pulls herself to a standing position and then will let go of me and stand for about 10 seconds. That may not seem like a long time, but heck, this girl started crawling just last week! AGGH! My little Alissa is growing up too fast! The look on Alissa's face when she realizes how well she is balancing is priceless. It is a "look what new trick I can do Mom, are you seeing this Mom, I am not holding on to you anymore!" That is what I feel like she is saying through her eyes when she is balancing! It cracks us up!
