We spent a good amount of time at the Law School and in downtown Austin this past weekend with group meetings for Tyson, and with the fun of buying $books$..ouch.... for school. We drove around and found this beautiful, huge park called Zilker Park and ran into some new friends from our ward, Jeff and Erin and their little boy Jackson. This place was so awesome! The best part about it was the place where they have dammed the creek and created a swimming pool in the river, literally with lifegaurds, a diving board, and a kiddy pool. It was pretty fun, and much colder than some of the Utah lakes in the summer time. Alissa didn't love the coldness of the water, but she still loved dipping her toes and splashing in the shallow area. Erin and I ventured into the cold water but not for long and Tyson and Jeff swam while we played with the kiddies out of the pool. What a fun place!

I love it! Isn't it so fun living on your own and exploring all the time!? I hope law school goes well and that you two girls find ways to stay busy.
I HAVE been there before...I just knew it as Barton Springs...it was so fun...we will for sure have to go together soon with the girlies!
