What I was doing 10 yrs ago...
I was just starting 8th grade at Churchill Jr. High and loving the fact that I felt like I was the only 8th grader that still had braces! I had every class with one of my best friends Sharon Andersen. We didn't arrange it that way, but it just happened ironically! Most of my time went to dancing with the studio Drill Express. I enjoyed singing in the chorus led by Ms. Taggart, and spent amazingly amounts of time with my 5 best girlfriends and the Jordan Boys! My family was growing bigger and bigger with the addition of new sister in laws and a nephew Joey! The starting count of the Wirthlin clan was 10 was at this point up to a count of 15. (Little did I know that I walked by my future husband every day as we passed to go to Choir practice.)
WHAT I WAS DOING 5 YEARS AGO...
My freshman year at BYU was nothing but fond memories. I lived in Heritage Halls, Kimball Hall, and lived across the hall from my cousin Amanda. Rebecca Pingree and Erin Pierce were among my freshman roomies. Not to mention, I was deeply in crush with my future hubby Tyson and we spent all the time together imaginly possible, but still tried to maintain the "dating other people" status but everyone new it wasn't true. We spent time together "studying at the library" and getting ready for him to go on his mission. My favorite class that semester was Anatomy, especially the lab when I got to play with the cadaver's and sadly I even passed out in lab. I can't believe I am admitting to that...being a future nurse!
WHAT I WAS DOING A YEAR AGO...
The biggest change in life was that I wasn't in school a year ago. Man, that made me feel old, especially living in Provo south of campus where just outside my apartment the stress levels of students walking by could be felt through my second story window. I had just began my first job as a real Nurse at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Labor and Delivery. At that time I was feeling that every woman in Utah County was pregnant and would deliver at my hospital (sometimes I still feel like that.) I had personally delivered two babies without a doctor by that point and was finally feeling like I was competent! I still love my job as much or more than I did a year ago. The most important thing was the fact that I had been married to my high school sweetheart for 10 months and loving our married life together. We were preparing applications for his summer internship to Brussels Belgium!
WHAT I WAS DOING YESTERDAY...
I did laundry, cleaned my apartment, made sure my Halloween decor was in place, and put a new candle that smells like caramel candy corn on the warmer to make our apartment smell like FALL. I just love this time of year...it is my fav! Tyson and I spent a few moments together as he finished work and school and I prepared to begin my work day at 6 pm. I worked yesterday night shift and had fun with the girl nurses I work with. That is the only way I can make it through the night...especially at 3:30 am!
SNACKS I ENJOY...
Tyson can attest to the fact that my choices in snacks may have altered since I have been pregnant. I snack most on fruit leather, bowls of Marshmellow matey cereal, chips and salsa, pickles, frozen fruit (sometimes a smoothie), and pb & j sandwiches. Late a night I find myself wanting candy...the sugery kind. Tyson thinks I am nuts!
IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS....
I would first set aside the money for us to pay for Law school and buy a nice home! Of course being married to an accountant, we would invest and be smart about it and live off the interest. We would probably spoil our family with a lovely paid trip to TAHITI where both sides of our family would come and cruise the many islands! Maybe even pay for a trip to go and see the many countries my brothers have served in. That is a goal with our family. I would spend money to help others out if needed and also be a little selfish and get some new clothes....well at least a new shoe wardrobe since I haven't bought a new pair of shoes since I got married (well maybe one pair, but that isn't like me!) I might buy my husband a nice boat or even a house boat at Lake Powell since baoting is what we live for together in the summer time
FIVE PLACES I WOULD RUN AWAY TO...
Tahiti becuase i have never been there, definately Europe, LONDON, Yellowstone, Lake Powell. (The last two places becuase those are my favorite vacation spots full of family memories.)
FIVE TV SHOWS I LIKE...
Dancing with the Stars, The Biggest Loser, Grey's Anatomy, Home Improvement, and the late night rerun shows of The Crosby's! I love the classics!
FIVE THINGS I HATE...
Agreeing with Nicole, i don't like hate as a word, but I do have a few pet peeves. I dislike the smell of our kitchen sink and that we can't do anything to fix it. I dislike when people interrupt each other or ignore each other. I dislike farting and burping (at least in public becuase everyone has to do it!) I dislike unpleasant smells and last but not least, I dislike working night shifts becuase I don't get to see my husband and am always tired!
FIVE BIGGEST JOYS IN MY LIFE...
My best friend and husband Tyson who treats me perfectly and like a princess now matter how I treat him! The fact that we are expecting our first little girl together...only 104 days to go. Needless to say, my family brings me a lot of joy, more than I ever thought possible (I just wish we saw eachother all together a little more often :). Having wonderful and supportive friends, even though the distances may be so far that we hardly talk. Lastly, nothings brings me more joy than this time of the year as we prepare for the holiday season and enjoy the fall crisp air.

I loved this post... I think tyson should do one too!
I'm so glad you did it. I loved reading your answers. I remember you and Sharron were such good friends in Jr. High. I also remember that Tyson was in my English class that year and now you guys are married! Weird!
