Our next site in Paris is recognizable to many and is called the Arc de Triomphe. It was commissioned by Napoleon during his reign to commemorate his victories and is engraved with the names of French generals who commanded French troops during Napoleon's regime. Around the monument is an enormous round about that 12 streets lead into. It was fun just to watch the cars weave in and out and almost get hit by each other. These drivers were crazy! One of the streets that led down to it was an amazing shopping district. The stores were way out of our price range and included high priced stores like Louis Vutton, Rolex( 22,000 euro watches sold here), Mercedes Benz, Gucci, and others of that nature. It was fun even though we felt totally out of place!!!! Oh, and for the car lover's, like Dad, we went inside a Toyota dealership also on that street and they had models of cars for the future models in the next few years. It was fun to sit inside and see all the new features of the future.
